حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَرَأَ {إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ} فَسَجَدَ بِهَا فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، أَلَمْ أَرَكَ تَسْجُدُ قَالَ لَوْ لَمْ أَرَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَسْجُدُ لَمْ أَسْجُدْ.
ہم سے مسلم بن ابراہیم اور معاذ بن فضالہ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ہشام بن ابی عبداللہ دستوائی نے بیان کیا، ان سے یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر نے، ان سے ابوسلمہ نے کہا کہ میں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو سورۃ «إذا السماء انشقت» پڑھتے دیکھا۔ آپ نے اس میں سجدہ کیا میں نے کہا کہ اے ابوہریرہ! کیا میں نے آپ کو سجدہ کرتے ہوئے نہیں دیکھا ہے۔ آپ نے کہا کہ اگر میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو سجدہ کرتے نہ دیکھتا تو میں بھی نہ کرتا۔
